As many of you know, Marisa and I travelled to Hawaii last year to take part in the coffee harvest at Monarch Coffee Farm (it was amazing). We’ve been patiently awaiting this launch date for quite some time!

Choosing Monarch Coffee Farm as our first coffee origin trip release hits closer to home than you might think. Owners Greg and Susy Stille are hometown natives to Woodland, part of the founding family for Nugget Markets. Their daughter, Abby, and son-in-law, Sal Munoz (whom Ben has known since childhood), now run the ins and outs of the coffee farm on a daily basis and graciously invited us for a harvest. 

Monarch Coffee Farm sits at 506m above sea level, along the famous 20-mile stretch of land home to 100% Kona coffee on Hawaii’s Big Island. From hand-picking cherries, to biodiverse planting and creative composting, the Munoz and Stille families have put their heart and souls into their coffee–and it shows. Read more on the blog, here.
